You’ll see now, especially, how, mental & emotional health is not an expense, it’s an investment in your well-being and quality of your life.
The California Yoga Standard of fitness and safety.
The safety of our sacred yoga community has always been our top priority, and it’s our drishti NOW,more than ever, obviously. To set the tone as an industry leader, we’ve made changes to how we operate—all designed to keep our yogi’s and instructors safe. Here are all the changes you can expect:
-Top-grade disinfectant & cleaning protocol
Staff & California Yoga cleaning team will use a disinfectant proven to kill viruses in all common areas before and after check-ins—with a heightened attention to cubbies, hangers, benches and all high-touch surfaces after every class. We’ll also be cleaning the studio from top to bottom twice as often per week, professionally.
Disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
After every class, we’ll disinfect doorknobs, handles, rails, light switches, sanitizing stations, cubbies, bathrooms, sink, toilet, benches, the desk, iPad, Sonos, phones, and instructor props.
Top-grade disinfectant, with electrostatic distribution.
This new disinfectant allows us to spray super evenly, gets tough-to-reach nooks and crannies, clings to every surface it coats, and is proven to kill viruses like COVID-19. Staff will use this on surfaces in all common areas before and after check-ins, with a special attention to high-touch surfaces after every class.
We will no longer be loaning mats & props. Mats will be pre-rented online via Mindbody only. We strongly urge you to invest in a mat of your own. Our favorite mats are Jade, Lululemon, & B Mat. If you need help shopping we are happy to assist & advise. If you need props, you can preorder a Cali Yoga Studio Kit that includes block, strap, & eye pillow for Savasana.
Sadly, we will temporarily sustain from hands on assists, and Savasana massages to head and feet.
We are requiring instructors to take temperature before coming to work, we urge you to exercise best practices also.
We have measured our square footage and provided mat markers on floor for you 13 feet apart and limiting class sizes to 15 persons until further notice.
Late cancel class fee.
To allow as many yogis as possible in each class, we’ll be strictly enforcing our cancellation policy—please remember to cancel by 5pm the night before class or be charged a fee of $5.

Hands-free check in.
Let your instructor know when you arrive, and they’ll check in for you. Plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before class begins as usual.
Social distancing practices.
Our instructors will work to get you in and out of the studio, while maintaining social distancing practices. To help, floor markers will indicate a safe distance in the studio area. For now, we ask that you avoid waiting for class in high-traffic areas so prop room will be for instructors only, and consider waiting outside or in your car if you’re comfortable and weather permits it. Our free coffee will be paused at this time. There are 3 picnic tables on Maplewood to social distance at between classes.
Our PH Water Bottle filling station will be for emergencies only. Ask an instructor to assist of you need a fill. Try to remember to bring a full waterbottle to class.
Keep to the left when entering and to the right when exiting the studio.
Sanitizing wipes. We will continue to provide sanitizing wipes at the entrance to our studio for you to use.
Please make sure to practice social distancing for now.
Follow the markers placed around the studio to maintain a safe distance.
If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to the studio until you’re symptom-free and fever-free for at least three days.
If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, we ask that you do not come to the studio for 14 days or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19.
If you feel unwell or have any concerns about coming in to yoga, please stay home and stay safe. We’ll happily add the class back to your account, and welcome you back when you’re healthy and feel comfortable coming back to yoga.
We’re encouraging yogis and staff to limit person-to-person contact, including hugs & high fives. Community and love is in our Cali Yoga DNA—but right now, this is the best way to take care of our Yoga Family.
It might be a bit overwhelming, we feel it, too. But trust us: As soon as that first song drops and you’re in downdog, you’ll find yourself back in that warm familiar place you know, cherish and love. That sanctuary you’ve been needing now more than ever is even safer now—and we can’t wait to see you flow with us once again.
Moving forward, we’re continuing to monitor the situation.
While we’re taking every precaution to keep our Cali Yoga community safe (and encourage you to do the same best practices), we’re super aware of and highly prepared for the possibility of a second wave this fall.
In the event that there is a reported case of COVID-19 in studio and you were potentially in contact with the individual, you’ll be notified immediately. From there, we’ll take the proper safety precautions to disinfect the studio from top to bottom.
With no crystal ball, we can’t predict the future but, the best way we can prepare is to respond, grow and evolve as the situation develops—with nothing but your safety & well-being in mind.
Whether you plan to join us in the studio, or feel more comfortable staying home, we’re here for you. Unlimited packages for online yoga will be available for $50/month or $300 for the year. If you have questions or concerns, let’s hash it firstname.lastname@example.org
You cannot cancel memberships on social media. Please carefully read our contracts before signing up. The 90 day cancellation policy sticks for monthly unlimited members.
We miss you so much.
We hope to see you on your mat at California Yoga very soon.
